WISCONSIN TRUCK CRASHES DECLINE BY 16%

Crashes involving trucks and buses declined by 16.1% in 2002 from 2001.  The reduction was particularly good news because the total number of truck and bus accidents had increased in each of the last four years.

The figures, released by the Wisconsin State Patrol, were for the federal fiscal year that ended on September 30, 2002. Breakdown by category are provided below:
