Skinner Elected Chair of WMCA

Evelyn Skinner of Skinner Transfer in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, was elected as Chair of the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association (WMCA) Board of Directors at the group's annual meeting held November 14 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

Skinner, who has served on the WMCA board since 1994, becomes the first woman elected as Chair of the association in its 62-year history. Skinner serves on the Wisconsin DOT Motor Carrier Advisory Committee and has been active in both the Wisconsin-Michigan Timber Producers Association and the Truck Historical Society.

Skinner has also been very active in her hometown, Reedsburg. She has supported the local Butter Fest and the United Fund Radio Auction. She also has served on the Reedsburg Industrial Commission and has served two terms on her church Council.

Other WMCA officers elected at that meeting were: 

  • First Vice-Chair - Buck Jenkins, Diamond Transportation, Racine

  • Second Vice Chairman - Tom Vandenberg, Schneider National, Green Bay

  • Secretary – Pauline Jaske, Fairway Transit, Pewaukee

  • Treasurer – Greg Klimek, Klemm Tanks, Green Bay

  • ATA State-Vice-President - Bob Schaupp, L.C.L. Transit, Green Bay

  • Alternate ATA State-Vice-President - Buck Jenkins, Diamond Transportation, Racine            

The WMCA is a non-profit trade association representing the interests of the trucking industry in Wisconsin.  The association has approximately 1,300 member companies and is affiliated with the American Trucking Associations (ATA) in Washington D.C.
