MILWAUKEE DRIVER NAMED 2003 WISCONSIN ROAD TEAM MEMBER

Brian Arthur Lampe, a Milwaukee resident, has been named to 2003 Wisconsin’s Road Team.

The Road Team consists of five outstanding professional truck drivers who travel throughout the state promoting highway safety.  Their sponsor, the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association (WMCA), created the Road Team in 1988 to help improve highway safety, promote professionalism in the industry and improve the trucking industry's public image.

Brian has been a professional truck driver for seven years. He is currently an over-the-road driver for Duplainville Transport, Inc. in Sussex, WI. Brian will begin working for prison ministries at the Franklin, WI prison through the Wisconsin Lutheran Institutional Ministries. Brian enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, working with the prison ministries, and promoting the trucking industry. He lives in Milwaukee with his wife Tracey.

As a Wisconsin Road Team member, Brian will talk with civic organizations, high school drivers education classes, truck driving groups, safety forums and media people about highway safety and the trucking industry's importance to Wisconsin's economy.  In 2002, Wisconsin's Road Team visited with over 15,812 driver-education students in over 254 schools throughout the state, discussing how to safely share the road with a truck and emphasizing general highway safety tips.

If anyone would like to talk to your group, please contact Sue Webb at the WMCA office in Madison at (608) 833-8200 ext 12 or sfwebb@witruck.org
